One of the tenets of the Everything is a Primary Source approach is to use materials that are all around us to learn and teach. School libraries often hold a collection of yearbooks, dating back as long as the school has been around. I like to utilize my school’s collection this time of year for an end of semester project assigned to my Pop Culture elective class, but any humanities teacher can easily adopt and adapt this lesson to their course.
